ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop customer accounts by analyzing the business products and needs of customers and potential customers and analyzing the polymers/resins market using an in-depth knowledge of Engineered Thermoplastics (ETPs) and the factors driving supply and demand. Work collaboratively with account sales managers and technical service to ensure team deliverables in market segment penetration, growth, and expansion. Engage in sales contract negotiations for polymers/resins with both existing and prospective customers and suppliers. Provide the technical and sales team with internal and external training on current materials per suppliers. Develop, execute, and measure strategic business plans for targeted product/supplier campaigns for an end market and growth strategies to deliver volume and gross margin growth. Maintain and cultivate key supplier relationships, including development and engagement strategies and related growth plans. Identify and seek new supplier partnerships to support long-term growth strategies and end market development. Travel to unanticipated worksites to meet with customers and suppliers in the U.S. and as needed to customers in Canada and Mexico.
QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE
MINIMUM EDUCATION: | Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or related field. |
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: | Thirty-six (36) months experience in the distribution and sale of polymers in the engineering resins market. |
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS: | Up to 50% travel to unanticipated worksites to meet with customers and suppliers in the U.S. and up to 10% travel to customers in Canada and Mexico. |
